My Contributions

Conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, iterating on designs, determining information architecture, and responsive design.

The Problem

19% of adults are experiencing a mental illness, the equivalent of over 47 million Americans.

Many users shared that there biggest issue they have regarding their medications is forgetting to take their medication as well as missing doctor appointments. Users also shared wanting to learn more about their medications.

The Goal

Create an informational, easy to use platform to help people with mental health issues keep track of their medications, doctors appointments, and helping them learn about medications.

For Med Reminders I interviewed 5 people in order to understand their biggest pain points. Most users shared that their biggest problems included missed doses of medications, forgetting doctor appointments which typically threw their medication schedule off track or didn’t align with trying to take charge of their mental health.

Users were given tasks to evaluate the success of the flow of adding a new medication and other general tasks.

The research indicated that users are trying to take charge of their mental health and need some support in keeping them on top of taking their medication and managing appointments.
